In
addition to T20Is, the teams will begin a three-match ODI series on March 13.
In
March, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will square off in two World Test Championship
(WTC) games in Sylhet and Chattogram. Bangladesh will not play a Test series at
the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka for the first time since they began
playing there because the venue will be occupied hosting the Australian women's
team at the end of March.
On
March 1, the day of the BPL final at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Sri
Lanka will arrive in Dhaka. March 4, 6, and 9 are their three T20I matches in
Sylhet. The third game is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. local time, while the first
two matches will begin at 6:00 p.m.
After
that, on March 13, 15, and 18, the teams will travel to Chattogram to play the
three-match ODI series. The third One-Day International (ODI) begins at 10:00
am, the earliest start time for an ODI in Bangladesh in the previous 11 years.
The first two ODIs are day-night matches.
After
returning to Chattogram for the first Test on March 22, the two teams will play
a second Test on March 30 in Sylhet.
Muslims fast from dawn until dusk during the month of Ramadan, when the tour will take place. During Ramadan last year, Bangladesh also played three T20Is and a Test against Ireland.
