Shanto cautioned against putting Rishad under too much pressure while praising him for his versatility.
When two journalists brought up Rishad Hossain's innings to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto just before the press conference in Chattogram on Monday, he nodded his head in agreement. Rishad had just scored an undefeated 48 off of 18 balls to end the third One-Day International against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh was trailing 236 runs at 178 for 6. Mushfiqur Rahim was the last recognized batter to stay. After a successful session with his leg spin, Rishad now had to help Mushfiqur finish the chase.

Rather than bowling, the veteran batsman stood and watched Rishad hammer Wanindu Hasarangi in two massive overs. Rishad hit four sixes, two of which came in a 24-run over, to rip into the legspinner. Ultimately, Bangladesh prevailed with 58 balls remaining.
Shanto cautioned against putting too much pressure on Rishad while praising him for his versatility.
We really value his bowling, added Shanto. There isn't a legspinner here. He had a good day with the ball, grabbing a crucial wicket in the middle overs. It benefited the group. However, I don't think we should get too enthused about him. Allow him to continue getting better. Since the tour to New Zealand, I believe his bowling has improved.

"After Miraz was fired, we in the dugout were concerned. Rishad is free to bat however he pleases. He has also become a better batsman after the journey to New Zealand. He's also a decent fielder, in my opinion. He is working on it, but he still has a lot of things to work on. We couldn't be happier with him. A captain's life is undoubtedly made simpler by a player such as him."
Because he is a legspinner, Rishad is frequently ignored in domestic cricket, as captains, coaches, and team administrators are hesitant to use him. He has therefore been forced to spend most of his batting and bowling practice in the nets. However, Shanto stated that Rishad ought to be playing in more domestic games given his performance against Sri Lanka over the previous two weeks.

"Players who perform well in domestic cricket typically get called up to the national squad. He is a member of the national team but is not given much opportunity in domestic cricket. Shanto remarked, "I believe that his team's management ought to look after him.
But after getting off to a quick start in the powerplay, Shanto stated he anticipated Tanzid Hasan to be at the crease towards the conclusion of the innings. Despite wickets continuing to fall at the other end, Tanzid scored his second fifty, and when he was removed at eighty-four, Bangladesh was on 130 for five.

He batted really well, in my opinion, particularly in the beginning and middle of his inning. However, I didn't like how he managed to escape. A pursuit should be possible to be completed by a specified batter. It only matters when the team wins, an eighty or a hundred. His runs have to be beneficial to the group. He started the game off nicely at-bat, but he ought to have played through."Players are required by the concussion regulation to be ready for anything. He appeared ready for the innings since the players were well-prepared."

Shanto stated that considering the surface and circumstances in Chattogram, Bangladesh's bowlers showed tremendous improvement as they knocked out Sri Lanka for 235 runs, a modest score.
We could not have cleaned them out more quickly on this track, in my opinion. We bowled extremely well, I believe. We limited them to twenty-five. Bowling brilliantly were Taskin, Shoriful, Fizz, Miraz, and Rishad. The pace bowlers made excellent use of the little assistance that was provided in the beginning. We had a target that we could pursue."
