Giants bat with two changes, Mumbai stays unchanged

The Giants substituted Bharti Fulmali and Sneh Rana for Veda Krishnamurthy and Mannat Kashyap.
Beth Mooney made the correct call at the toss, and the Gujarat Giants, playing the Mumbai Indians, carried on the tradition of choosing to bat first in Delhi.
Giants gave Bharti Fulmali, who was brought in to replace Harleen Deol, her WPL debut. Sneh Rana also made her debut after missing a few games with an injury. Mannat Kashyap and Veda Krishnamurthy made room for the pair.

Mumbai, who had just won their opening game in Delhi, decided to start the match just as they did. Given how this leg's games have typically played out, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur stated that she would have liked to bat first as well.
Pitch No. 7, a recently installed off-center strip, was the site of the match. The fine leg was just 44 meters, while the square limits measured 63 and 46 meters.
In the WPL, the Giants have lost all three of their matches against Mumbai and have won their season opener against RCB.
